Monday Morsels #19

Hello hello! It’s late, but it’s still Monday, so I’m determined to squeeze in a quick update of what we’ve been up to lately. There’s been a ton going on, but here are a few highlights:

We had a big family celebration at my Aunt’s house for Aug/Sept/Oct Birthdays plus some Anniversaries. It’s also when we broke the baby news to my side of the family. So fun!

We enjoyed the constant coverage of Pope Francis’ visit to the US! It was fun to show Clare such a historic time and although I wish we could’ve been in DC/NYC/Philly for all the excitement, it pumped me up for our pilgrimage to World Youth Day next summer!

My dear husband turned the big 3-0 in September! We went out for a celebratory dinner at our favorite spot,Β Buca di Beppo, with his side of the family and feasted on some amazing family style Italian food.

And these cookies were his requested Birthday dessert! They were so fun to make and even more fun to eat!!

We also went out to Fort Worth’s 40 Days for Life kick off event. It was a beautiful evening with great speakers and a huge turn out. It was so nice to see some familiar faces there and rally together for the common effort.

…apparently I haven’t been on point with taking photos at our goings on, but other activities include a friend’s baby shower, another friend’s Bday party, a World Youth Day meet and greet, book club with the ladies, visiting Wichita Falls for a youth rally, and touring our future birth center.

Also, please pray for my grandmother-in-law. She was out for a walk on Friday and was hit by a car. So scary – she has a cracked pelvis, torn liver, and lots of bruises and cuts. But she’s a total tough cookie and needed zero surgery plus was home in a day. Her guardian angel was definitely working overtime!

  1. Becky! I can’t remember if I congratulated you on your pregnancy or not! Prayers, friend! And YAY!!! Also, will definitely be praying for your grandmother-in-law – how awful and scary! Fun update though! Seems y’all have been enjoying yourselves which is always great!

  2. Sounds like you’ve been busy! Congratulations on the pregnancy — how much fun it will be to watch your beautiful family grow. I’m sorry to hear about your grandmother-in-law, though. (How scary!) I’ll pray for her.
